Lynn Shore has been teaching Yoga to people of all ages and abilities
for the past 11 years, in Somerset and Amsterdam. Yoga has been
part of her life for the past 20 years, originally finding it a
wonderful way to stay focused and calm through busy periods of study.
Alongside becoming a School teacher, she trained in the traditions
of ViniYoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in both the UK and India.
She qualified formally with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2002 and
is a member of the Vereniging Yogadocenten Nederland.
Lynn practices and teaches Vinyasa Yoga, strongly based on ViniYoga
and borrowing helpful features from Ashtanga Vinyasa when appropriate.
She employs a gentle, mindful approach with modified movements where
needed. Her aim is to help students progress along their individual
paths at a pace which suits them and fits comfortably into their
lives.
She is also a qualified teacher of complimentary therapies and
sometimes runs Indian Head Massage and Reflexology workshops during
school holidays. She has always felt that Yoga can benefit all aspects
of our lives and that it is better to integrate Yoga into our work,
play and relaxation, rather than see it simply as a physical activity
we enjoy once a week. Lynn teaches Yoga to a small number of individual
students alongside running a successful private tuition business,
for children, in Amsterdam.
